MESSAGE FROM THE PASTORS

We at Trinity Family Church invite you to be our guest.  Our desire is that every person experience personally the gentle love of God that can impact their lives.  We believe the word of God is dynamic and faith building.  Jesus Christ, the anointed one of God, is Saviour and Lord.  Carol and I desire to minister to the needs of the people. With His direction, we desire to pastor and minister encouragement, faith, love, and power to each person and to build an interracial church where the fire of God cannot only ignite the hearts but also to establish, train, and equip each believer to follow the Lord in obediance and fulfill their God ordained destiny.  If you would like to visit, we invite you to come at any service, or if you do not have a church home we would be happy to answer any of your questions concerning the church.  May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you.

HISTORY & PURPOSE

Trinity Family Church has been under the pastoral leadership of Nornan and Carol Jacobs since 1992. Trinity Family Church is an interracial church with a vision to teach and train believers to live successful in this generation; by ministering to the needs of the families, ministering healing to the sick, salvation to the lost.

To enable us to fulfill our vision, we purchased and renovated a building located off Hwy. 31 approximately 3/4 mile south of Shoneys, at 2628 Leah Drive. Since our move in September 1997, we have started the Worked Alive Bible School. Our purpose is to develop and train individuals to prepare for the ministry; either full time or as a worker and leader in the local church. The fall session will begin in August, and it will be open to the public.

The ministry at Trinity has embraced the great commission to go to all the world and preach the gospel. The vision to reach the nations of the world is a deep desire in the pastors as well as deeply expressed through the lives of the people, by their personal participation in mission trips.

We at  Trinity Family Church believe Columbia is a great city with a successful future. Pro. 14:34 says "Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people." As a church family we desire to join with the other churches in our city, making a contribution, by strengthening our city through teaching the word of God, and encouraging believers to live strong productive lives of faith.

In His Presence

We desire to create a loving environment where people are encouraged to worship God freely, and to receive their needs met (salvation, healing and deliverance) through preaching of the Word of God, prayer and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:1-11, 1 Cor. 14:1,2,4.

If, while in the services, you see or hear some things that you are unaccustomed to, we pray that you will remain open, prayerful, and uncritical; search the scriptures to receive spiritual understanding. Acts 17:10,11.
